Walking therapy offers the opportunity to speak with a qualified therapist while walking outdoors in a natural setting. For many people, walking side by side can feel more relaxed and less intense than sitting face to face, helping conversations flow more naturally.

The gentle rhythm of walking, combined with time outdoors, can help people think more clearly, reflect more freely and begin to process what is on their mind.

Walking therapy sessions for adults take place outdoors, starting from our offices at Cavendish Court – we’re lucky to have green spaces close by.

You and your therapist will walk at a comfortable pace while talking about whatever feels important to you. Sessions follow the same principles as all therapy at Rise - confidential, supportive and guided by your needs.

Your therapist will work with you to ensure the pace, distance and environment feel comfortable. There is always the option to pause, slow down or sit if needed.

All our therapists meet high professional standards and the service is an organisational member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), ensuring recognised quality and ethical care.
